The Event decorating Academy also offers the Certified Event Decorator® (CED) certification program. This is your first step toward the high-paying, stimulating, and rewarding profession you’ve always wanted. Training includes, fabric draping, balloon decorating, flower design, theme props, lighting, balloon sculpting, centerpieces, and business. . Upon successful completion of the certification program, students need to come back and get certified by taking an intensive three part test. We don't only give a certificate for attending this course, as anybody can do that. We as a school, train and make sure our students are prepared to carry the internationally recognized credentials of a certified event decorator.
Success in the Event Decorating Industry requires planning, precision, punctuality and above all creativity. Event Decor is an art and a career not just a job. This is why we are dedicated to offering the most unique and challenging event design classes to our students. When you leave the EDA, you should leave with impressive examples of the best in art & design for different events. This will help you build a successful professional portfolio. All of our classes are extremely informative and filled with hands-on experience with all the tools, flowers, balloons and fabrics provided for the complete design experience. Students move at a steady pace from one design to the next. This course includes the million dollar book, full of step by step graphics and pictures to help you learn. In addition you will have the opportunity to take beautiful picture of all the decorations you learn and use it in your portfolio.
In our balloon decorating class (as in all the classes) we follow and teach the principles of design, positive and negative space, and color; not just how to put balloons in frames. We encourage our students to experiment and create beyond the expected.
The Event Decorating Academy is an excellent next step for CBAs (Certified Balloon Artists®) who wish to expand their offerings beyond balloon retail.
