The Event Decorating Academy® is a registered trademarked school, we offers a wide range of educational training classes for professionals in the balloon, event decorating, event planning, and floral industries; The EDA® is also home to the Certified Event Decorator® Program (CED)®, a comprehensive 12-day, 8 hours a day, intense hands on training program to become a Certified Event Decorator (CED) - offered in both English and Spanish. 

This exciting program includes classes on balloon decor, fabric draping, flower design, making props, lighting, centerpieces, and painting. It also includes a business class that covers photography, portfolio, marketing, pricing and more.

We bring new techniques and designs to help the industry grow. We are getting people from different industries attending our course. Since we opened we’ve been getting students from not only from all the US but also from England, Africa, Canada and the Caribbean.

The Event Decorating Academy is providing sponsorship opportunities for Manufactures and Distributors that wish to support the EDA.

Our mission has been to turn the students around by improving their self-confidence. We have achieve this by devising individualized curriculum, allowing them to learn at their own pace, focusing on basic important skills as well as advance techniques, and making learning desirable, enjoyable and profitable. The philosophy of this school is based on small class size, ample teacher-student interaction, stress-free, calm environment, and regular feedback.



The Director / Instructor is a creative and highly motivated designer & Artist.
She has being in the industry for 20 years and has received numerous awards for her designs & talents at international competitions. She will make sure every student learns all they need to start or improve their business.

How can you help EDA?

In an effort to keep the registration fees low for attendees we need the help from manufactures and distributors.

If you sell equipment, products, props, lighting, or other things that we can use in our academy we will gladly accept sponsorships. To find a list of products we need for the school (click here)

As a sponsor you will have the opportunity to send product to be used in our classes. Each student gets an opportunity to try your product and design with it. Students get to take their designs home. This gives the students an opportunity to show their designs to prospective clients.

The objectives of advertising and partnering with the EDA is not only to help support the mission of the school, which is industry education, but also to drive traffic to your business, and ultimately increase your sales.

• E-specials on the Vendor specials pages vendor special page have a designated page and are excellent to advertise sales or special offers you may have available (ie. 10% discount for students/people who order through the EDA or mention the web ad, etc.)
• E-Newsletter is sent out monthly via email to all of our students and prospective student, distributed at tradeshows, special events, and on display at various partner locations. You also get the opportunity to send us articles to place on the newsletter.
• Certification Books / Continuing Education Books / Specialty Class Books will be given to all students during classes.  Partners who advertise in our books will have full color ad in the book or books of choice.

Our marketing

It is our goal to ensure a mutually beneficial advertising package for our partners, our extensive marketing plan is working and we are been found internationally. Now is the time to get involved, as the school grows, the rewards will grow for our partners, and your business, as well.
